  • The Material Girl made her twelfth appearance on the cover of Rolling Stone as Madonna looked back at her historic career. We celebrated Madonna with her most Iconic Moments, took a tour of her RS covers and reminisced with photos from her Sticky & Sweet Tour.

  • “I think Lady Gaga is great… She’s got something,” Madonna said of her recent SNL co-star, and this week alone RS‘ Hot Diva revealed the tour dates for her “pop-electro opera” The Monster Ball, shot a video with Beyoncé, filmed a cameo for Gossip Girl and scored three AMA nominations.
  • On the live front, Them Crooked Vultures made their explosive New York debut, Bob Dylan welcomed back guitarist Charlie Sexton with an electrified set in Los Angeles and Chuck Berry rocked out at his 149th monthly show at St. Louis’ Blueberry Hill.
  • With less than two weeks to go until the Michael Jackson documentary, the film’s title track “This Is It” hit the Web. Perhaps the only person happier than King of Pop fans to hear the unreleased song was Paul Anka, who scored 50 percent of its royalties. Also, Adam Lambert’s “Time for Miracles” video will debut before This Is It in theaters.
