Adam “DJ AM” Goldstein was laid to rest yesterday, September 2nd, with a service at Los Angeles’ Hillside Memorial Park and Mortuary, US Weekly reports. Blink-182’s Travis Barker, whose band postponed their most recent tour dates so he could mourn the loss of his friend and collaborator, attended the private ceremony. As Rolling Stone reported last week, AM was found dead in his New York apartment Friday following an apparent drug overdose. He was 36.

Us Weekly indicates reports that Goldstein’s former fiancee Nicole Richie and Good Charlotte’s Joel and Benji Madden attended the burial are “inaccurate.” AM’s girlfriend Hayley Woods, DJ Jazzy Jeff, actor Scott Caan and producer the Alchemist, who reportedly served as a pallbearer, were present at the service. Barker, who last year survived a deadly jet crash along with Goldstein, paid his respects to his former collaborator by throwing dirt on the coffin at the burial.

A memorial will take place tonight at the Hollywood Palladium for “a gathering to celebrate the life of our friend Adam Goldstein.” “The format of the evening will be in the style of an open 12-step meeting,” according to the invitation. “Adam’s friends both from his life in recovery, as well as those from other areas of his life, are welcome.” His family has asked fans to make donations to the National MS Society, Southern California Chapter, or women’s rehab facility Friendly House instead of sending flowers.
