The Decade’s Biggest Rap Feuds: Everyone Vs. Bill O’Reilly

December 29th, 2009 by Daniel Kreps Leave a reply »

Hip-hop has seen its share of notable feuds this decade: Who can forget how Jay-Z and Nas famously beefed in the shadow of “Ether,” or when 50 Cent’s Curtis faced off against Kanye West’s Graduation in 2007. However, as Mediaite points out (via Vulture), there’s one enemy that it appears the entire rap community shared in the 2000s: Bill O’Reilly. The Fox News host has got into verbal confrontations with everyone from Nas to Snoop Dogg, who O’Reilly hoped Barack Obama would deport following his inauguration.

Look back at the decade’s biggest meltdowns and blowups.

As Rolling Stone previously reported, Jay-Z took a swipe at O’Reilly on the Blueprint 3’s “Off That,” saying of the host’s conservative beliefs, “This is 2010, not 1864.” Nas, meanwhile, staged a protest outside Fox News’ New York headquarters in August 2008, and even dedicated a song called “Sly Fox” to the channel on his Untitled. O’Reilly responded by calling Nas “vile.”

Other members of the rap community that have verbally sparred with O’Reilly include Ludacris, Eminem and, perhaps most hilariously, Cam’ron. But it wasn’t just MCs that warred with Bill: Death Cab for Cutie’s Chris Walla also had to fight back the urge to punch O’Reilly on the 2008 campaign trail. For the countdown of the seven best rapper feuds with O’Reilly, check out Mediaite.
