  • The Rolling Stones stunned us with news they’ll include 10 never-before-heard tracks on their May 18th Exile on Main Street reissue. Says Keith Richards, “They still had that great basement sound.”

  • INXS revealed they’ve recruited the Killers’ Brandon Flowers and Ben Harper to help reinterpret their songs for a new disc. Ironically, Ray Davies also asked Flowers, along with Bruce Springsteen and Jon Bon Jovi, to contribute to his new Kinks covers project.
  • Slash told us Velvet Revolver’s singer search is far from over. Aerosmith’s is, though — they’re sticking with the guy they always had. And Roger Daltrey admitted who he’d like to sing with: Jimmy Page.
  • We shared awesome photos from the set of The Runaways (and the movie’s soundtrack track list) and Lady Gaga’s revamped Monster Ball tour.
  • David Fricke shared more of his fascinating interview with our cover stars Jeff Beck and Eric Clapton: Beck on his unreleased Motown LP and new disc and Clapton on Layla and sobriety.
