  • Pearl Jam have lined up their first summer festival date of 2010 … in England. Eddie Vedder and Co. will headline London’s Hard Rock Calling on June 25th in Hyde Park, NME reports.

  • The man Bob Dylan called “the best ballad singer I’ve ever heard,” Irish crooner Liam Clancy, has died at age 74 from pulmonary fibrosis, the AP reports. Clancy was the last surviving member of 1960s vocal quartet the Clancy Brothers.
  • Billy Joel and Christie Brinkley’s daughter, singer Alexa Ray Joel, was rushed to a New York hospital over the weekend for a pill overdose that’s being reported as a possible suicide attempt. “Alexa is stable. Her doctors are assessing her needs and that’s all we can say at this moment,” a rep for Joel’s parents told the New York Post.
  • New York’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Annex — the counterpart to the full Hall of Fame museum in Cleveland — will close on January 3rd, the New York Times reports. Check out one of the Annex’s most lauded exhibits, photos from John Lennon’s New York years, here.
