  • Song lyrics John Lennon scrawled on a postcard approximately 40 years ago are going on display in an English exhibit assembled by his first wife Cynthia and son Julian for the first time ever, the BBC reports.

  • Mariah Carey’s Memories of an Imperfect Angel has been pushed back yet again. MTV News reports the disc slated for September 15th will now drop September 29th.
  • Blink-182’s Mark Hoppus tells MTV News he is in fact working with Panic! At the Disco. He says the track he’s producing is “one of those songs that, even in the demo stages, you can tell is gonna be a gigantic song.”
  • The first single from Weezer’s untitled October album, “(If you’re wondering if I want you to) I want you to,” is out August 25th, the band reports on their Twitter.
  • Lit drummer Allen Shellenberger died at age 39 after a fight with brain cancer. “He had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone,” the band said in a statement; a tribute video is posted online here.
