  • Jennifer Hudson will look back at personal holiday memories in her Chicago hometown in a prime-time ABC special called Jennifer Hudson: I’ll Be Home for Christmas this December, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

  • Onetime Bad Boy rapper Shyne was scheduled to be released from prison after serving nine years in connection with the New York City club shooting involving Diddy and Jennifer Lopez, but the MC is now in federal custody while officials debate whether to deport him to his home nation of Belize, MTV News reports.
  • U.K. online music store 7Digital has launched in the U.S., NME reports. The service boasts 8 million tracks and is charging 77 cents per song, undercutting the iTunes and Amazon stores. In September 2007, Radiohead released their catalog on the service digitally for the first time as full album downloads.
  • Animal Collective are reissuing 2003 LP Campfire Songs on January 26, 2010. The five-song disc that features three out of the band’s four current members (save Geologist) is out of print.
