Last week, we received news of the first major reunion of this fresh decade when Chris Cornell announced “school is back in session” and a new Soundgarden Website. Since the Superunknown band split in 1997, Cornell has gone off to make music with Audioslave and Timbaland, Matt Cameron joined Pearl Jam, Kim Thayil was named one of Rolling Stone’s Greatest Guitarists of All Time and bassist Ben Shepherd played on Desert Sessions and worked with Mark Lanegan.
