Scorching footage of Nirvana performing “School” at the 1992 Reading Festival has been posted at Amazon. The video comes from the CD/DVD Nirvana Live at Reading that drops (together and separately) on November 3rd, the same day Sub Pop is reissuing the deluxe version of Nirvana’s debut album Bleach. Heralded as the one of the greatest Nirvana performances ever, the August 30th, 1992 Reading gig featured Kurt Cobain donning a hospital gown to poke fun at rumors about his ill health — he even took the stage in a wheelchair.

Check out a gallery of Cobain’s personal artifacts.

After checking out the clip, RS can report the video quality is impressive for a performance that was filmed over 17 years ago. According to a press release, the DVD will feature “color-corrected video from the original film with audio sourced from the original multi-track masters.” The DVD will feature all 25 songs from Nirvana’s Reading performance, while the CD features every song except “Love Buzz.” The Reading show also included the first-ever live performance of In Utero’s “Tourette’s,” plus covers of the Wipers’ “D-7″ and Fang’s “The Money Will Roll Right In.”

Amazon is offering up an exclusive version of Nirvana Live at Reading, complete with both the DVD and CD plus a poster and a slipcase big enough to house the Reading DVD plus the previously released MTV Unplugged in New York and Live! Tonight! Sold Out!! DVDs.
