Weezer have officially canceled the remaining concert dates on their Raditude tour as frontman Rivers Cuomo continues to heal following a tour bus accident that sent Cuomo and his assistant to the hospital. Citing doctor’s orders, band nixed three stops in California and a tour-ending gig in Phoenix, Arizona in January 2010. Three December Weezer shows were immediately canceled after the accident.

According to Weezer’s official Website, Cuomo is back in Los Angeles and recovering following a 48-hour bus trip back West from the Albany Medical Center in upstate New York. The trip to L.A. is documented in the latest Weezer Webisode “The Road to Recovery,” which you can watch above. As Rolling Stone previously reported, Cuomo had to take a bus back because of concern that the changes in cabin pressure on an airplane could damage his healing punctured lung, and in the video, we see Cuomo testing out his lung power in a breathing apparatus.

Barring any rescheduled shows in 2010, Weezer will next take the stage in May 2010 when they headline at the Bamboozle Festival in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Canceled Weezer dates:

Jan. 9 – San Francisco, CA @ Bill Graham Civic Auditorium
Jan. 11 – Irvine, CA @ UCI Bren Events Center
Jan. 13 – La Jolla, CA @ RIMAC Arena
Jan. 15 – Phoenix, AZ @ Dodge Theatre
