Weekend Rock List: Album Snubbed By The Grammys

December 4th, 2009 by Rolling Stone Leave a reply »

The nominees for the 2010 Album of the Year Grammy were announced earlier this week and, as our readers have made loud and clear, the 2010 nominees were maybe a little light on the rock and/or roll music. Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Black Eyed Peas and Dave Matthews Band are fine nominees — but what LPs do you think are maybe more deserving of a nod? Tell us in our comment section and on Monday we’ll reveal what the readers chose as their most overlooked Album of the Year. Until then, here are just a few of the year’s best that weren’t nominated. Remember, the Grammy cutoff was August 31st, 2009. So, sorry Backspacer fans!

• U2 – No Line on the Horizon
• Green Day – 21st Century Breakdown
• Bruce Springsteen – Working on a Dream
• Whitney Houston – I Look To You
• Eminem – Relapse
