  • Billy Joel and Elton John’s Face 2 Face tour has been slightly derailed. The pair were forced to cancel dates in Buffalo and Albany, New York, because Joel is suffering from flu-like symptoms, the AP reports.

  • Billy Corgan debuted a new song tentatively titled “Freak” and Smashing Pumpkins’ 19-year-old drummer Mike Byrne at a Sky Saxon tribute show over the weekend. Stereogum has the YouTube.
  • Grateful Dead collaborator John “Marmaduke” Dawson, who co-wrote “Friend of the Devil” and performed with New Riders of the Purple Sage, has died at age 64 from stomach cancer, the Hollywood Reporter writes.
  • Walmart are following up the exclusive release of AC/DC’s Black Ice with Foreigner’s three-disc set Can’t Slow Down on September 29th, Billboard reports.
