Michael Jackson Doctor’s Las Vegas Home, Offices Raided

Law enforcement officials continue to focus on Dr. Conrad Murray as they investigate the death of Michael Jackson, raiding both the Las Vegas home and offices of Jackson’s personal physician. Sources tell TMZ investigators are searching for all medical records and documents pertaining to Jackson. Last week, the Murray’s Houston medical offices were raided, with the search warrant stating they were searching for “evidence of the offense of manslaughter.”

As Rock Daily reported earlier today, law enforcement officials believe that Murray administered the powerful anesthetic Propofol, or its brand name Diprivan, to Jackson within 24 hours of his death. Officials also believe that it was the Propofol that ultimately caused Jackson to suffer from the fatal sudden cardiac arrest, as an overdose of the sedative could cause a patient to stop breathing, leading to a buildup of carbon dioxide in the body. Police recovered Propofol, an IV line and oxygen tanks from the singer’s home after his death. Propofol is usually restricted to hospital use only.

A search of Murray’s Houston offices yielded prescription medication like the appetite suppressant Phentermine and the anti-anxiety medication clonazepam, plus computer hard drives, Rolodexes and other documents. Last week, officials close to the investigation said that Jackson’s death would likely be ruled a homicide, and the fact that police are seeking evidence of manslaughter seems to pin Dr. Murray as their main suspect.
