Chris Brown made a brief appearance during the Virginia stop of Lil Wayne’s America’s Most Wanted tour Sunday, marking the first time Brown has appeared onstage since his February 8th incident with Rihanna. Since Drake was forced to leave the tour after injuring his leg, VA native Brown took to the stage to contribute Drake’s usual vocals during Young Money’s performance of “Every Girl,” MTV reports; Brown returned toward the end of the concert to show off his dancing abilities by emulating some of Michael Jackson’s most famous moves while “Billie Jean” played over the speakers. While Brown has been largely ostracized by the mass media since his altercation with then-girlfriend Rihanna the night before the Grammys, Brown received a fairly warm reception judging by footage of the concert posted on YouTube. Lil Wayne even called Brown “the next Michael” after the young star showed off a mind-blowing Moonwalk.
As Rock Daily previously reported, Brown was sentenced to 180 days of community service in his native Virginia after pleading guilty to charges of assault stemming from the February 8th incident. Due to the sentence, it’s unlikely that Brown would fill the vacancy left by Drake on the America’s Most Wanted tour. Drake’s publicist tells Rock Daily that R&B singers Pleasure P and Jeremih will fill in on remaining tour dates.
In one other piece of Brown news, the singer — who can thank that viral YouTube video JK Wedding Dance for a bit of a sales renaissance lately — will appear on the Wednesday, August 5th episode of Larry King Live to once again apologize to Rihanna and talk about the events of February 8th, Radar Online reports.
