Blink-182 will not perform their scheduled concert tonight at Saratoga, New York’s SPAC as the band mourns the death of their pal and collaborator, DJ AM. “Due to circumstances surrounding the unfortunate and untimely passing of our dear friend Adam “DJ AM” Goldstein, Blink-182 will not be playing tonight in Saratoga, NY at SPAC,” the band announced in a statement on their official Website. “Performances by Weezer, Taking Back Sunday and Chester French will take place as planned along with some special surprises. We thank all of our fans for their support in this tough time.”

As Rock Daily previously reported, DJ AM died on Friday, August 28th in his New York apartment; his cause of death has not been released pending the results of toxicology tests. While Blink-182 were able to soldier through a teary performance this weekend in Hartford, Connecticut after the death was announced, the band evidently needed time off to mourn. Last year Blink drummer Travis Barker, who collaborated with AM, survived a plane crash with Goldstein. No word yet whether Blink-182 are planning to reschedule the SPAC show.
