  • Woodstock’s 40th anniversary arrived and RS broke out photos from the fest, artists’ first-hand memories, promoter Michael Lang’s behind the scenes story and even a Twitter capturing the best of the best @Yasgursfarm. Catch it all at our Woodstock hub.

  • Les Paul, the king of the six-string and the father of the electric guitar, died at age 94. He was remembered by great guitarists including Richie Sambora, and RS brought back his 1975 Q&A and audio from his final Rolling Stone interview.
  • Lollapalooza rocked with Jane’s Addiction, the Killers, Kings of Leon and Lou Reed and RS caught up with Bat For Lashes, No Age, Perry Farrell and many more backstage.   • Pearl Jam debuted Backspacer closer “The End” in London, the Flaming Lips embraced the dark side for Embryonic’s “See The Leaves” and an awesome new Radiohead song called “These Are My Twisted Words” literally appeared out of nowhere. Will we have a new Radiohead EP on August 17th? We’ll find out Monday.
