  • Lollapalooza unveiled its eclectic lineup, which includes Lady Gaga, Soundgarden (rocking their first reunion show!), the Strokes and Arcade Fire. Perry Farrell told RS about assembling the fest and the potential for Jane’s Addiction rocking in Chicago this August.

  • Former Sex Pistols manager and punk impresario Malcolm McLaren died at age 64 after a battle with cancer. We looked back at his days shepherding the Pistols and his own musical work in a special flashback.
  • Thom Yorke launched his Atoms for Peace tour in New York, Drake rolled out his debut headlining tour in Illinois and LCD Soundsystem rocked the “Drunk Girls” in Brooklyn.
  • Now that The Runaways is opening in theaters across the U.S., we took another look at the band in new Q&As with Joan Jett, Cherie Currie, Lita Ford and their colorful manager Kim Fowley.
  • RS marked two landmark dates: the 30th anniversary of R.E.M.’s first show, and the 16th year since Kurt Cobain’s untimely death.
