Last week, after Phish revealed plans to revive an old Halloween tradition and play another band’s album in its entirety during their Festival 8 in Indio, California, we asked our readers what LP they’d request on October 31st. We’ve tallied the votes, and the readers want to hear a jamified version Radiohead’s OK Computer, complete with a 25-minute version of “Karma Police” and a vacuum solo during “Climbing Up the Walls.”
Other picks on the Rock List ranged from the plausible (David Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust) to the unlikely (Who’s Next, considering the Who’s Quadrophenia was played by the Vermont quartet on Halloween ‘95) to the downright ridiculous (Tool’s Aenima?!) We’re sticking with our prediction of Prince’s Purple Rain — it is the 25th anniversary, after all — even though it didn’t make the Readers’ List below:
