With Jay-Z and Alicia Keys’ New York anthem “Empire State of Mind” blasting over stereos worldwide, we asked our readers to tell us what track puts them in a New York groove. Jigga, Nas, the Beastie Boys and some other Gotham natives came close, but in the end it was Long Island’s own Billy Joel and his “New York State of Mind” that our readers voted as the definitive ode to the Big Apple.
