  • Aussie hard rockers Wolfmother have confirmed their second album will be released on October 13th. Cosmic Egg’s track list is posted on their official Website, and debut single “New Moon Rising” hits radio August 14th. Andrew Stockdale and his two new bandmates will hit the road with the Killers for a handful of U.S. dates this month.

  • A new biopic about Hank Williams is in the works, according to Variety. Marc Abraham, who produced Children of Men, is writing the script, and says it’s likely Williams’ original recordings will be used in the film.
  • The jury deciding the fate of Corey “C-Murder” Miller is deadlocked, AllHipHop reports. Miller is on trial for the 2002 death of a 16-year-old man; his original conviction was overturned.
  • Country duo Brooks & Dunn are calling it a day: the duo announced on their Website that after 20 years together, they’re splitting up after releasing a greatest-hits album and hitting the road next year on their Last Rodeo tour.
