Four albums into their career, Canadian indie rockers Metric have been named MySpace Music’s Triumph of the Year thanks to the success of their 2009 album Fantasies, which took only four weeks to beat previous album’s Live It Out sales over four years. Avenged Sevenfold drummer Jimmy “The Rev” Sullivan was found dead at his home in Huntington Beach, California, yesterday. He was 28. Preliminary police reports indicate Sullivan died of natural causes, but the Orange County Coroner’s Office is investigating his death, the OC Register reports. Sullivan helped found Avenged Sevenfold in 1999, and featured on all four of the band’s studio albums.

Van Morrison and his wife GiGi welcomed new addition George Ivan Morrison III yesterday, the AP reports. The couple report their new son is “the spitting image of his daddy.”
