Tour Tracker: Sonic Youth, Black Francis and Deer Tick

Sonic Youth extend their tour for The Eternal with a handful of West Coast dates, Black Francis plots two weeks worth of shows before hitting the road with Pixies and recent Breaking artists Deer Tick book shows at Newport’s Folk Festival, Austin City Limits and many more venues. Monsters of Folk Supergroup Debut Three Songs On MySpace

Monsters of Folk, the indie rock supergroup featuring My Morning Jacket’s Jim James, M. Ward and Bright Eyes’ Conor Oberst and Mike Mogis, posted three songs from their upcoming self-titled debut album on their MySpace page, showcasing the varying styles fans can expect from this massive collaboration. The man arrested in the hit-and-run death of American Idol hopeful Alexis Cohen, or “Glitter Girl” as she was called after auditioning twice for the show, plans to plead not guilty to charges of aggravated manslaughter, death by vehicular homicide and leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident, the lawyer of the suspect Daniel Bark told People.
